Corrections Policy

BackDoor League aims to publish accurate schedules, scores, standings, player details, ratings, team information, and sports coverage. Because records may be entered during live events or updated after organizer review, corrections are sometimes necessary.

How to Request a Correction

Send your request to aaronsunkist@gmail.com. Include:

  • The URL of the page that contains the possible error.
  • The exact name, score, date, statistic, team, category, or statement to review.
  • The correction you believe is accurate.
  • Supporting evidence, such as an official score sheet, organizer confirmation, or clear screenshot, when available.

Review Process

We may compare the request with official site records, score sheets, event logs, organizers, referees, operators, players, or other reliable sources. Complex disputes may remain pending while the event committee or authorized organizer completes its review.

Types of Updates

  • Minor correction: spelling, formatting, or an obvious typographical error.
  • Record correction: a verified change to a score, standing, rating input, roster, or result.
  • Editorial correction: a meaningful factual change to an article or caption.
  • Clarification: added context where the original statement was technically accurate but incomplete or unclear.

Correction Notes

When a correction materially changes the meaning of an article or official result, we may add a visible correction or update note. Minor spelling and formatting fixes may be made without a separate note.

Abusive Requests

A correction process cannot be used to erase legitimate results, manipulate eligibility, threaten volunteers, or remove accurate public information solely because it is unfavorable. Privacy and safety requests are reviewed separately and respectfully.
